Marco Antonio Sotelo Monge is PhD in Computer Science and Senior Specialist in cyber defense at Indra, in the Digital Labs division. His main research activities are devoted to communication networks (5G and beyond), cyber security, SDN/NFV architectures, and artificial intelligence. He has formerly performed as Researcher of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at University of Murcia (UMU); Lecturer and Researcher of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at University of Lima (UL); and Researcher of the Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), where he received his PhD. and Msc. degrees. Over the last years, he has participated in international research projects such as SELFNET (H2020-ICT-2014-2/671672) and RAMSES (H2020-FCT-04-2015/700326) and, more recently, at the European Cyber Situational Awareness Platform (ECYSAP, EDIDP-CSAMN-2019), all funded by European bodies such as the EC or EDA. Besides his academic commitment as lecturer for several years, the outcomes of his research efforts have been disseminated by authoring several publications across various journals and international conferences; whilst contributing as reviewer and member of technical/organizing committees both for research journals and conferences as well. He has also undertaken collaborations to industrial partnerships in the last years and, in the past, performed professional activities in areas of Information Technology and Quality Assurance in Education.
